Several months after I opened the store, a French customer brought me a photograph of a wonderful playground called Joie de Vivre she had visited in while vacationing in France. She thought there was even a postcard of it, and later I actually came across the black and white postcard pictured while ordering from a French postcard distributor. Sitting on a swing in the middle of the playground was a young blond girl with two ponytails — which easily could have been me once upon a time... Choosing a name for the store had been kind of hard — and this playground and this postcard kind of made my choice of Joie de Vivre as a name for my new store seem like — it had been the perfect one!
