and here to find out about our name!
Joie de Vivre opened its door in 1984. Through that door lay a world of delightful items — clever, beautiful and original, as well as just plain wacky! We carried gifts for all ages and interests. Our stock included wind-up toys, kaleidoscopes, jewelry, flashing rings, clocks, snowglobes, music boxes, books, postcards, rubber ducks, singing animals and all kinds of other things designed to enchant, or give pleasure through the unexpected. We loved helping our customers find the right thing whether it was a $1 finger monster or a $75 wind chime. Our aim was to bring a little more “joie” to the world, and though we have now closed our doors, word has it — we succeeded!
